How do I know if I have TMJ Disorder?
A full temporomandibular joint and muscle exam is always included with every single one of our new patient exams. During the exam, all your muscles, joints, and teeth function are evaluated. Dr. Mike and his team also utilize the latest 3D scanning and 3D printing technology to create models of your teeth that can show us if your jaw or bite is unbalanced.
How can we help?
Our office has several different TMJ treatments to suit your needs.
Many TMJ patients grind their teeth in their sleep unknowingly. With custom-fit night guards, we can prevent you from grinding your teeth or moving your jaw in your sleep, stopping TMJ pain in its tracks.
A deprogrammer is a removable retainer-like device that helps control the movement of your teeth, preventing them from interlocking. This allows your jaw to relax into a more comfortable alignment.
Botox Therapy is a proven treatment for TMJ that many patients have had success with. Botox can stop the signals that cause your facial muscles to tighten, lessening facial and jaw tension that contributes to TMJ.
